What is happening
The home houses orphans and children left without parental care — there are no adults who could stand up for them.
In June 2026 an author who introduced himself as a resident wrote in the local group "Typical Belovo" that the director shouts and swears at children, takes away their belongings, sometimes uses force and, referring to her connections, threatens those who disagree with criminal prosecution. According to him, the children stopped being given clothes.
Local residents wrote in the comments that one boy was punished by being given only one bowl of soup a day.
Case status
Since 24 June 2026 the Investigative Committee has been conducting a preliminary check under the articles on torture and failure to fulfil child-rearing duties (Articles 117 and 156 of the Criminal Code); its chairman Alexander Bastrykin demanded a report. The results have not been published. According to the state register as of August 2026, the head of the institution has not changed.
